Well one day I was walking out my door and encountered some salesmen from ATT. They were touting their new fiber optics and AT&T Television bundle that includes phone and internet. I guess they have decided to embrace IP Phone now along with the tv internet triple play.
I was skeptical but after seeing the package cost including high speed internet that was faster than my cable and good value for tv service, I just said OK switch it.
A couple weeks ago the installer came out switched me. I have been pretty happy so far. I had regular AT&T landline but rarely used it. Prior to that I had gone without home phone service in favor of only using my cell phones and of course my cable for internet. When I did have home phone service I used a reseller ( I think the one I had for a year was called Talk America) that cost much less that the LEC and gave the "extra" services and unlimited calling for free.
So far I am satisfied. I like having everything on one bill, with quality service, and not paying more money.
